Herd about it?

Sheep & Cattle & Ducks.

Herding livestock with your dog isn’t just for farm owners. We enjoy teaching students from all walks of life with all different breeds of dog. You don’t need to own sheep to bond with your herding-type dog over their instinctual job, just a willingness to learn and connect with your four legged partner. .

Meet the sheep.

We have a flock of Katahdin lesson sheep. They are trained to work safely with new dog/human partners while everyone learns how to move stock with calm, controlled focus.

Katahdins are an American breed of hair sheep (meaning they shed just like most dogs and don’t need to be shorn like their wooly cohorts), they are named for Katahdin Mtn. in Maine, the breed’s place of origin.
